Busch Gardens Tampa Florida is also known as Busch Gardens Africa. Busch Gardens Tampa is America's premiere adventure park and has over 2700 animals, unforgettable shows, and the biggest most exiting roller coasters and rides in the world.
Busch Gardens Tampa has an amazing collection of world class roller coasters, each one with their own distinct features. Make sure you check out Gwazi, the world's largest dueling wooden roller coaster, this ride has two separate coasters with two different ride experiences. The lion side is made up of a long string of spirals while the tiger side makes you feel like you are on a bobsled, you will have to ride both to get the full experience. On the Kumba, after the blood curdling thrill of an initial 135 foot drop, you will plunge from 110 feet into a diving loop, feel a full three seconds of absolute weightlessness while spiraling 360 degrees and tear through one of the world's largest vertical loops. The Montu is the longest and tallest inverted roller coaster in the world and flies along its track at 60mph plunging through loops, corkscrews, and twists that pull at you at a G-force strength of 3.85. The Sheikra, is the nation's first ever dive coaster, it evokes the power and speed of an African hawk as it twists and plunges. The Sheikra has two 90 degree drops, including the steepest drop there is, 200 feet straight down. The Sheikra also takes the crown as Florida's tallest roller coaster.
Along with the great roller coasters you can take a splash on one of Busch Gardens many water rides. The Tanganyika Tidal Wave, The Congo River Rapids and Stanley Falls are all great ways to cool off, prepared to get wet. Busch Gardens also has several different areas with rides and entertainment for the smaller children in the family. This park is aimed at children of all ages.
